Lloyds TSB In Tenerife

British bank Lloyds TSB have opened a new branch on the island. Situated in Avenida de Bruselas in Adeje, the bank hopes to attract British people who have moved to the island to do their banking with them.

 
Paul McCartney In Tenerife

3 September 2008

Rumours on the island suggest that Paul McCartney could be doing a concert on the island for December 6.

The Tenerife set list would include his hits with The Beatles, Wings as well as his solo career.

Sir Paul has been doing some unique one-off concerts recently, including Quebec, Liverpool and Kiev - with a combined attendance of 650,000 people attending for those three alone, and is due to perform in Israel September 25.

Tenerife Holidays Beating Recession

The latest tourism statistics showed an increase in visitor arrivals for May this year up over 20 per cent over the 2007 figures.

New Tenerife Ferry Service

A weekly ferry service has started from Las Palmas, and goes to the Algarve and Madeira.
The ferry has capacity for 600 cars and a thousand passengers – ideal for those wishing to visit Tenerife and the Algarve as well.

Best Airline Award Update

8 July 2008

Palmair, a one plane company operating flights from Bournemouth Airport and who include flights to Tenerife have come third in a Which? magazine poll of 70,000 holidaymakers for best service.

The winner was Singapore Airlines.

PalmAir, who provide flights to Tenerife from their base at Bournemouth Airport, are in the running to win the Which? Best Airline Award, with the winner due to be announced on 17 June.

 
Summer Flights To Tenerife

Thomas Cook have increased the number of Tenerife flights it operates for this summer from Manchester Airport.

Other airlines offering cheap flights to Tenerife from Manchester Airport include easyJet and Monarch.

 
Tenerife’s New Mountain

6 April 2008

Unfortunately it’s a rubbish mountain. The dustmen are on strike over pay in the Adeje region which includes Playa de las Americas.

ABTA say no Tenerife holidays or hotels are yet affected, but are monitoring the situation.

Tenerife Holiday Homes Rise

2007 saw a 7.5 per cent rise in Tenerife property prices.
